How to qualify a business for the Going Green program?
The first step is to make a commitment to go green.
Use the material that your chamber or organization is providing you. Start with some of the links to publications located on the right side of this page.
Use the Internet to find more information about going green. The web site at http://energystar.gov is an excellent tool.
When you have started the process of committing to go green contact your chamber or organization for an assessment by their going green coordinator.
After consulting with your green coordinator you may decide to purchase the program from your chamber or organization. You can do this by clicking the button on your organizations main page called Going Green Program. Your chamber or organization has a checklist that will be completed by you and the going green coordinator.
After your checklist is completed GRC-Pirk (a green certification company) will contact you for a five-minute telephone interview.
Once qualified, you will be recognized by your chamber or organization and receive the following benefits:
1. The official chamber going green window decal to be displayed in your business.
